.my DOMAIN REGISTRY is an agency under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation and is regulated by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission.

.my DOMAIN REGISTRY administers the name space for the .my top level domain (TLD). This involves the registration of domain names as well as the maintenance and operation of a domain name registry (a central database for .my domain names).

.my DOMAIN REGISTRY has invested in research and development initiatives for domain name and related technologies. The four research areas include Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6), Domain Name Security Extension (DNSSEC), Electronic Number Mapping (ENUM) & Next Generation Networking (NGN), and Anycast.

Technology and Innovation (TNI) Unit of .my DOMAIN REGISTRY was formed in early year 2006 with objective to actively perform research and development into the domain name system and at the same time to contribute to the development of the Internet and the building of a better future for everyone.
